Music Review: "Any Moment" single by Le Sonic

Do you love smooth, seductive, and sophisticated music? Perhaps something that’s a little jazzy, with hints of light rock and elements of R&B sprinkled throughout? Yeah? Then “Any Moment” by producers, songwriters, and artists Mike Rogers and Gary Lefkowith is the track for you. Featuring special performances by Robert “Bobby” Lee Balderrama, “Any Moment” also includes guest artists such as Dennis Collins, Jim Hynes, and Frank Rodrigues.

The creatives behind Le Sonic, the soon-to-be launched band, have released the track to attract attention, find fans, and build some buzz for their creative vision. And it’s working. “Any Moment” is an absolutely lovely track and I cannot wait to hear more from the seasoned musicians. For one, Mike Rogers has engineered and co-produced music from They Might Be Giants, which is one of my all time favorite bands.

Gary Lefkowith is another heavy-hitter in the industry. Working in Radio Promotion, he has a firm grasp of music that has a lot of commercial potential and can ensure that Le Sonic never misses the mark. Having promoted records by industry giants like Mick Jagger, Fleetwood Mac, John Legend, P!nk, and more, his creative vision and understanding of the creative process will serve well in his current endeavor.

“Any Moment” — which was inspired by Les Harris, Lefkowith’s first-year ear training teacher at Berklee College of Music — also showcases the talent of Robert “Bobby” Lee Balderrama, whose claim to fame is being the lead guitarist of Question Mark and the Mysterians. According to the press release, he “co-wrote their huge 60’s Hit, “96 Tears,” which went all the way to # 1 on The Billboard Hot 100 Chart and is on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of all time.

Although the band will officially debut on September 10th, you can check out “Any Moment” here now. The enjoyable track is light on the lyrics, putting the music center stage. And while I can’t wait for the official premier of Le Sonic, hopefully the duo drop other singles at any moment.
